Three luxury, waterside apartment buildings, with ground level parking and commercial outlets were constructed around the recently developed Marina.
Reinforced concrete frames, with transfer slabs at first floor level, enabled large, flexible, clear areas on the ground, whilst above, columns and walls were integrated into the diverse residential spaces. Cantilevered, steel-framed Balconies, provided external living space for residents.
The design of the piled foundations was complicated by the presence of significant ground obstructions, some of which had been pre-determined by dynamic probing, but with additional items discovered as piling progressed. Foundations had to be re-designed in a 48 hour turnaround, in order to maintain the tight programme.
Civil works included the drainage and pavement design, together with concrete, retaining structures and a new Electrical Substation.
