Construction is largely traditional with load bearing masonry supporting pre-cast concrete floors. The apartments have undercroft parking which has been formed using insitu concrete with a transfer slab at first floor supporting the masonry structure.
When the football ground was formed, the stream which flowed through the dell was culverted and ran under the pitch. One of the first tasks during construction was to divert the stream to a position outside the footprint of the buildings and adopted roads.
The poor ground conditions required that piled foundations be adopted and in excess of 1000 contiguous flight auger piles were installed.
External works included forming a new cycle way between Archers Road and Milton Road, the design of adopted road and drainage, and the formation of a new turning head in Milton Road.
